The Incandescent – An internationally touring indie rock band from the Pacific Northwest with members Ryan Armstrong, Kellen Rowe, Shane Collins, and Andrew McArdle. When the band was first envisioned Armstrong, Rowe, and McArdle came together in the fall of 2010 with the concept for a new worship project that not only used music as a tool to minister and edify, but to also use the platform they achieved to outreach and impact the world positively for Christ. The four members are by no means new arrivals to the Christian music scene. Both Armstrong and Rowe (Guitar & Drums) played previously for the Christian jam band Drawing Two. They have shared the stage with great artists such as Storyside B, Needtobreathe, & The Afters. McArdle (Guitar & Vocals) has spent time working for recording artist Holly Starr and has had the opportunity to travel with artists such as Jeremy Camp and Francesca Battistelli. He has also shared the stage with bands such as Sixteen Cities, Telecast, & Remedy Drive. As the most recent addition to the band Collins joined in November of 2011 as the official bassist. He hailed from the indie rock project Wonder Wonder. In the fall of 2011 the group came together to officially create The Incandescent and pursue it as a full-time ministry. Starting October 2011 The Incandescent began writing and recording for their first independent EP called “Planting Bulbs” that released November of 2012 and is available through all online music stores.

The Incandescent has spent much of their time traveling and playing various events on the road. Including conferences, camps, and concerts. As of November 2012 have traveled internationally to play with Sparrow Record’s Starfield in Canada. They’ve also provided direct support for Save The City Records’ Holly Starr on her Focus tour in 2012. As well as for BEC Records’ Ryan Stevenson on the “Champion Of The World” tour. The Incandescent has also headlined at regional festivals and events in the Pacific Northwest including: Worshipfest, Grow Conference, and the Moody Bible Institute Fall Conference.

Although they are from different walks of life, each of the members were brought together for one purpose; to glorify God with music and to serve people by helping rekindle a passion for Jesus Christ. Feeling called to encourage people and share the love of God wherever they go, The Incandescent is consistently putting their hearts on display.

A burning passion, for God & people, is what continues to drive The Incandescent in writing and leading worship music throughout the Church. As experienced worship leaders the band has been called upon by organizations like Moody Bible Institute, The Northwest Baptist Association, & Ron Armstrong Ministries to aid in developing worship and outreach events where God is the kept the center and the focus. As they grow The Incandescent would like to continue creating and facilitating such events and pursuing active lifestyles of worship as Kingdom builders.
